Zhejiang Zhengda Auto Bearing Co., Ltd's roller-type Wheel Hub Units have a reputation for high quality and
reliability, with several advantages over tapered roller-bearing designs: lower drag torque, longer lubricant
life, and a smaller installed axial clearance range. DL roller-type designs are less likely to suffer severe
failure and are less susceptible to false brinnelling. On Hub I or Hub II models, special roller retainer designs
secure both inner rings during shipment and assembly, making installation easier.

Wheel Hub Unit I
A double-row angular contact ball bearing, press fit into the knuckle and onto the hub. Most often used in
drive-wheel applications.
Advantage: Hub I designs offer minimum bearing cost.

Wheel Hub Unit II
A double row tapered roller bearing with a flanged outer ring. For outer ring rotation, the flange
bolts to the brake rotor and wheel. For inner ring rotation, the flange bolts to the knuckle. Best for
non-drive wheel applications.

Advantages: Hub II designs lower knuckle manufacturing and assembly cost and provides reduced bearing
mounted axial clearance range for a stiffer wheel assembly, greater reliability and reduced weight.


Wheel Hub Unit III
A double row tapered roller bearing, with integral flanges on both inner and outer rings. Each
flange can attach to either the knuckle or brake rotor and wheel. Most often used on drive wheels.

Advantages: Hub III designs deliver minimum knuckle manufacturing and wheel assembly costs, minimal
axial clearance range for a stiffer wheel assembly and maximum bearing reliability.

The ABS Tone Ring features compact design for minimum space and weight requirements,
while providing optimal performace and reliability. Its patented two-piece construction delivers
improved corrosion protection, as well as consistent sensor voltage output for the life of the vehicle.
Seamless ring construction provides maximum sensor signal integrity. All at lower total cost, when
compared to powdered metal tone wheels.
